| I'm far from perfect. I'll admit, I'm addicted to T.V. as much as I am this bloody laptop. I watch as much Discovery channel as I do W.B. sitcoms. I know, I know, "Garbage in, garbage out." as they say. But a guy just hafta laugh every now and again. I don't get home until after midnight, most nights. I come home and try to catch the midnight rebroadcast of the FOX news 9pm edition. FOX is one of the better news casts. Unlike CBS (See B.S.) ABC (Anything But Christ) NBC (Nothing But Crap) CNN (Y'all can figure that out on your own, my mom reads these!) Anywho, I'm watching the midnight FOX News and during one of the commercial breaks, ComCast (The local cable network) chooses to air a couple of spots you just KNOW they did not air in the 9pm prime time broadcast. The first is a PSA (Public Service Announcement) showing an hispanic guy, a black guy and a young gal in a partial burka. They go on about how they all either served in the armed forces or are related to folks who did, and how they are all great contributers in their communities. Then they proudly announce that they are all American muslims, and the PSA goes on to spout something about being tolerant of muslim Americans. Can you imagine that same spot, but with American Christians? Ha, talk about upsetting people! The very next commercial starts out with some 12 year old boy, lying in bed in his boxers and tee shirt talking about how he wants to meet men who are really who they say they are, and live on some ranch or someplace. Then it goes on to spit out some 800 number to call and connect with other local men for friendship, dating and more. More what? And here I thought FOX was "safer" than the other crap networks! Trust me, I called Comcast, but of course they just parrot the home address to which we can write and send our complaints. I did, but I know it made zero difference. Oh well.
